The First Blog

Hey Everyone,

So what is the purpose of a blog and more specifically what is the purpose of my posting a blog for PanicRev Ministries? Well, that is a good question. One that is yet to fully be defined; however, I do know it will be a great way for me to communicate with everyone. Moreover, it will be a good way for everyone to read updates, prayer requests, and get an overall idea of where the ministry is heading. I am personally rather excited. Keep in mind I am new to this blogging thing, so I am sure there will be some growing pains!

With that said, the Lord has been doing some really big things in the life of this ministry. Recently the all of the PanicRev ministry leaders (Troy, John, Alice and myself) committed to to reading through The Emerging Church by Dan Kimball. It was such a great blessing. I feel as though God really brought us together, closer has a group, and at the same time planned some very exciting ideas about the future of PanicRev. One of the ideas birthed out of our journey through the book was to start a Bible study in Corona, CA (Crown Town for you Transworld Motocross readers). We are currently looking for a location and can most definitely use your prayers as we work out all the details. Our hope is that we will begin in April, and we will meet on Thursday nights.

Additionally, we also tossed around the idea of having a motocross retreat. I believe this will be a great way for us to all come together as a community growing towards the Lord and each other. We still have a lot of praying to do and details to work out, but look for more information on this after the new year.

I almost forgot. Keep a look out for the new PanicRev logo. We should be coming out with new t-shirts and stickers featuring the new logo some time after the first of the year! Our buddy Frank Toby Chi did an awesome job designing the new logo. He really captured the essence of Christ's reign and Lordship, in addition to his humility and suffering!

I'm so very excited to see the work God is and is going to do through this ministry.

I prayerfully hope you all have a very merry and blessed Christmas. Remember to keep your focus on the Lord and not on all the madness that goes on during this time of year!

In Christ's love and grace,
Scott
